Man or Mouse?
“I looked for a man who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one…” Ezekiel 22:30
“God is seeking men of character NOT cartoon caricature.”
Where are those men who say what they mean and mean what they say? Where are the men who keep their word even if it causes them discomfort, embarrassment, pain or inconvenience?
A man is only as good as his word and that word is only as good as the man. What you say reveals who you are, but what you do determines who you become. Good intentions are of no consequence without good execution.
Compromise makes cowards of men because compromise co-exists with fear. Commitment makes men of cowards because commitment requires courage, strength and valor. The problem with being a strong mighty mouse is that at the end of the day, you are still a mouse and not a man. Are you a man, or a mouse?
This world is saturated and full of males, but thirsty and starving for men. The evidence is found in the divorce rate, the youth drug-abuse, suicide, crime, pregnancy, abortion and prison statistics. Where ever the head goes, the body follows. In the direction the man leads, the family will proceeds. So then what is it to be a man? Ed L. Cole said it best and I agree, “Manhood is synonymous with Christ-likeness”. There is no clearer, more accurate answer to the question of manhood than that. it is a point-blank description.
