When You Feel Like You’re Falling

“For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again But the wicked man shall fall by calamity.”               Proverbs 24:1

I have had many challenges in my life and they have all bought me closer to God. I have one child Sarah who has become a beautiful child of the Lord. But we faced many challenges as mother and daughter. You see I battle a condition called bi-polar disorder, and because of this Sarah did not have the beautiful childhood that so many children have. For the first two years of her life I was in and out of the hospital. She spent that time with relatives.

I often blamed myself for the mother I was not. But God showed me that it was ok and that Sarah’s childhood shaped her into who she is today. You see things were not always that bad. Sarah had her first Bible before she was three and we read from it every night. Sarah accepted the Lord at six years of age and rededicated her life as a young teenager.  We were baptized  in the same baptismal pool together when we joined our church. Sarah came home knowing that if anyone was without food we would go into our own pantry and freezer and get together a care package for that person.

Today Sarah is a firefighter and has three children, one adopted and two biological.  Michael and Evangel my natural grandchildren who are five and seven years old accepted the Lord this summer. Michael the oldest helped his sister to come to the Lord. These have been the proudest moments of a grandmothers life.

As a young mother Sarah has many challenges and realizes that it was not easy for her or I but we made it through and because of God’s great love many things have been forgiven.

Parenting is a challenge but with God’s help we can make it. You see we may fall, but God picks us up. When a baby first learns to walk they may fall many times. Each time they get back up they become stronger. So it is being a child of God. He picks us up and helps us to walk again.

      Hello Demonsking19,
It is absolutely true that God loves us, but His love is greater than that of “70 moms” for that would just be an earthly kind of love. No while there is here on earth nothing more precious than a “mom” love, God’s love is demonstrated by wrapping Himself in flesh and taking upon Himself the deserved penalty of all humanity. God do loved the world, you and I that He gave His only Son so that whosoever will believe in Him may not perish (be eternally separated from God) but have everlasting life (be eternally with Him). John 3:16 Thank you for taking the time to comment and visit, we hope you will return soon.
